King Abdullah attends Al Karamah Battle 54th anniversary ceremony

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, attended the JAF’s ceremony at the memorial site for the martyrs of Al Karamah Battle on its 54th anniversary. He was accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. He was received in the Jordan Valley town of Al Karamah by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti and senior officers.

King Abdullah attends Al Karamah Battle 54th anniversary ceremonyThe king laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Memorial and recited verses from the Quran. The King also met with a number of veterans injured in Al Karamah Battle, emphasizing their importance in serving the country and the nation, as well as all veterans and JAF personnel. In the 1968 Al Karamah Battle, the Arab Army achieved a historic victory under the leadership of the late King Hussein.
